Alex's Notes

Mahalo for your patience as we overcame a few hurdles with hotel space in Australia. Apparently visiting the land “Down Under” is becoming popular and hotels can get what they want. Naturally, being one of the best times to visit there added to the trouble. Its so tough, the Globus Family had to drop out of the bid for our group due to hotel issues.

Luckily General Travel Australia was able to secure the hotel space by doing Melbourne before Sydney. It really pays off to work with some of best in the industry. General Travel and I go back some 20 plus years with this local favorite.

Since our Australia & New Zealand program is a custom all Hawaii journey (designed by us and only sold locally), it allows me to specially cater it to our Travel ‘Ohana. It's like being a “Chef” putting together a fabulous meal. This allows me to serve up our Family's Tradition of Service, Value and Making Travel Dreams Come True. And over the years of conjuring up this particular dish, it is probably my most delicious yet.

As my father taught me, this journeys is packed with value so our Travel ‘Ohana can fully experience each country. Guests will savor these countries’ cultures, learn about their history, and stand in awe of their amazing wonders. We include fantastic Maitre Ds (guides), explore unique tastes (sights), and always maintain a very comfortable level of flavor (quality). Pops would be proud. I encourage you to shop around and be sure to compare our features (apples to apples) included for the cost.

Of course, the menu contains the basic ingredients like Melbourne and Sydney in Australia and Christchurch, Franz Josef, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Mount Cook, Rotorua, Waitomo, and Auckland in New Zealand. What adds to the flavor are the special spices. For Instance lunch abroad a restored Tramcar while cruising around Melbourne; an Aussie Farm visit in Canberra; a private breakfast and visit at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, a Glacier Walk at Franz Josef, wine tasting and cave visit near Queenstown, time at Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Center at Mount Cook, the Hobbiton Movie Set visit at Matamata and more. Plus we savor 3 night stays in Melbourne, Sydney, and Queenstown; and a 2 night stay in Rotorua to make the trip easy on the palate.

One things that sets this creation most apart from all before is our use of local guides (versus driver guides) in Melbourne and Sydney. They will be our Maitre D ensuring our experience is exquisite. Instead of wondering through places like Queen Victoria Market, we will be taken on a stroll with our guide pointing out all the specialty buys and the unique food samples. Our Maitre Ds (guides) will add the sizzle in these two cities while our Sous-Chefs (driver guides) bring unique character and regional flare to the rest of the meal.

This Custom First Class Feast features breakfast daily, 5 specialty lunches, and 6 dinners, full days of sightseeing, multiple special seasonings, and more. Being a custom program, there are no optional excursions (unless you want to Bungy Jump). Pray this menu (itinerary) will make your mouth water.
