Alex's Notes

Mahalo to Bobby-san and Katie-san at Nippon Travel Agency for using their amazing talents to make this happen. Bobby-san has taught me how to spoil our Travel 'Ohana. His programs are top of the line and continue the Dold Family Tradition of Value, Service and Making Travel Dreams Come True.

Bobby-san is my Japanese brother and mentor. He has taught me how to spoil our Travel Ohana. His programs are top of the line. We are replicating Bobby's favorite Fall Foliage program with the passionate and caring Michi Goto as our director. When finalizing this itinerary the scenic beauty, amazing culture and interesting history of Japan came alive for me. Of course, included are many of Momijis must see sights, unique experiences, and three onsen properties.

Experience Transportation
This Momiji experience is more than just colors. Imagine four different modes of transportation on the same day: Electric Trolley Bus, Cable Car (which runs inside a tunnel), single-span Ropeway, and a Highland Bus. Some of them we do twice as we cover the Japan Alps from one end to the other. Plus ride a Rickshaw through the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, take a Lake Ashi Cruise, cruise on the Sumida River and journey on a JR Bullet Train from Kyoto to Mishima.

Got Height?
Well, how about Japan's tallest dam (Kurobe), lunch at the country's highest located hotel (Hotel Tateyama), its second tallest building (Landmark - Yokohama) and Japan's tallest structure (Tokyo's Skytree - once the tallest in the world).

Retail Therapy
Special stops at Wajima Asaichi Morning Market, Echizen Washi Village, Tsukiji Market, Ameya Yokocho, Skytree observation deck, and Aqua City and Diver City Malls. Heck, we'll find something at just about every stop we make (maybe even hat pins for Mike).

Hands On
Try your hand at apple picking (and eat what you pick), and Washi Paper making.

Three Onsen Properties
While I realize some Ohana members abstain from birthday suit bath parties, there are huge benefits with Onsen overnights. These properties are superior hotels normally with amazing locations, spectacular views and have many traditional Japanese characteristics. Best of all are the lavish meals. Breakfast and dinner are always included at Onsen properties and tend to be out of this world. Our Onsen visits include Tateshina Grand Takinoyu (Tateshina Spa), Tateyama Prince Hotel (Omachi Spa) and Hotel Hana Ori (Hakone).

This Custom First-Class journey including breakfast daily, 3 lunches, 5 dinners, full days of sightseeing, special features, Onsen hotels, and more. Being a custom program, there are no optional excursions. Pray this itinerary fulfills a colorful dream of yours too.
